I don't know if you knew it but I have moved to a much better place. 3 hours north but still in Indiana.
I have interviewed for a job and I think I got it. On oct 28th I celebrated my 50th Birthday. So as I near Elder status,I am rethinking life.
I recieved gifts from cyber friends and Natives from various places. Some sweet grass and sage badly needed. I was blessed.
Unfortunately, my Pow wow drum music cd's were stolen or lost in the move. Even though I left the apartment cleaner than when I moved in and had to leave behind a very expencive 6 foot mirror (wouldn't fit in my truck) :(.
My landlord is trying to keep my deposit of $400.00. He is a slum lord!
And then they messed up my unemployment because I moved thus I was cheated out of a check and had to use the next to pay bank fees. Moving is tough as I know you know!
Now my unemployment ran out but before that they had to empty 2 accounts. Last week I only got 70 dollars and this past week I only got 19. Food stamps ran out and I reaplied.It will be refilled on the 6th. So I have not had an easy move but the people here are so much more spiritual and friendly!
I think (hope it was a good decition). I just could not sign another year lease and be stuck in that negative bad city.
So here is a question for you:
Do you own any drum music? And if so is it a possibility that you could burn me a copy or two? Living without native music is killing me. No Pow Wow to go to, I missed it as it was before my move.
There is a Native American group here in town associated with the University, but I have not been able to contact them, rather they have not gotten back to me. Indian time.
Let me know about the drum cd's. I can post it on tribe.
